How does an
8% GUARANTEE sound right now?
Perhaps it sounds too good to be true. Over the past 5 years Schechter Wealth Strategies has helped nearly
100 families and endowments design a safe and secure* Annuity Arbitrage Program'''' that has guaranteed favorable
returns on millions of dollars. Schechter will consult with you and your advisors on ways to couple a fixed annuity and
a fixed life insurance policy that can provide returns above today's bond rates. If you have funds earmarked for the long
term and liquidity is not critical, talk to Schechter to learn if you or your parents qualify for this proven wealth strategy.
Contact Jason Zimmerman, Senior Managing Director and in about 5 weeks we can find out if you qualify and what
your exact yield could be. Program Minimum: $250, 000

values in excess of guarantees) as well as payments to stockholders' or bondholders' of the insurance companies. Guarantees : ranking, and benefits provided by life insurance products are

April 30 2009
arth Day was celebrated at
Pasteur Elementary School
in Detroit on April 22 with
the help of 16 former students. The
Pasteur Elementary School Alumni
Foundation sponsored a day of read-
ing The Lorax by Dr. Seuss to every
class at the school from preschool
to sixth grade including students in
special education classes.
More than 40 years ago, the late
author Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr.
Seuss, wrote the book to make peo-
ple aware of saving the Earth.
With each reading, volunteer
readers lead a discussion with the
students on ideas they might have to
save the Earth. Then a list of activi-
ties, with which they can be involved
to help the environment, was given
to the teacher and the students.
Alumni included those who attended
Pasteur between 1954 and 1988.
They came with stories and memo-
ries to share with the students.
Marcy Feldman began the founda-
tion 12 years ago with the help of
Debbie Manning. Feldman serves as
its president. There are 1,000 former
students on their database with
more than 200 paid members. Dues
help provide books, supplies and
scholarships for college.
The volunteers are involved with
reading, tutoring and giving books
to the students throughout the
year. They also help fund special
projects. Some alumni included Dr.
Joel Appel, Howard Davis, Marjory
Epstein, Fran Gross, Betsy Heuer,
Paula Kalt, Dr. John and Judy Marx.
Bagley Elementary alum Morrinne
Maltzman also volunteered. ❑
