gathered Feb. 24 at a bar in
West Hollywood for Young
Detroit Hollywood's second event that
raised more than $4,200 for the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's
Emergency Assistance Relief Fund.
Max Aronson, Aaron Kaczander and
Eli Sussman wanted to put on event
that would help the community in
Detroit while also serving as an evening
for Detroiters to network and reconnect.
"I was extremely pleased with event,"
said Aronson, 24, from Franklin. "If the
money we raised can help even one
person in Detroit, we hit our goal."
Addressing the economic situation
was important as attendees were asked
to make donations for the cause.
"YDH is about community — and
when more than 100 of your peers

community is what you've got," said
Kaczander, 25, from West Bloomfield.
Event attendees came from all areas
of Los Angeles and even beyond. Elliot
Darvick, 25, originally from Birmingham,
said, "People were surprised I drove 50

feel at home among old friends."
Beth Schwartz, 28, from West
Bloomfield, said, "I ran into so many
people I didn't even know lived in LA —
friends from camp, high school, college.
It is a great networking event because
