Whether remembering images of green
eggs and ham, a Christmas-stealing
Grinch or a cat in a hat, readers young
and old know the rhymes, rhythms and
drawings of storybook writer-illustra-
tor Dr. Seuss, the penname for Theodor
Seuss Geisel. The man, whose 105th
birthday falls in March, is being cele-
brated with an exhibition and sale of his
works through April 30 at Art Leaders
Gllery, 33030 Northwestern, in West
Bloomfield. The Art of Dr. Seuss pays
tribute to the Geisel fantasy worlds that
remain popular way beyond his lifetime.
The display, which also shows Geisel art
outside of the books, can be experienced
10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays.
