Jewish Alums
Form At U-M

Ann Arbor — The University of
Michigan Association of Jewish
Alumni (UMAJA program has been
created to help Jewish alumni get
more involved with Jewish life at
Michigan.
Allison Sheren, program direc-
tor at the University of Michigan
Hillel, worked with the U-M Alumni
Association to achieve official affiliate
status for UMAJA.
Every month, UMAJA sends out its
e-newsletter, E-JewBlue, with informa-
tion on events at the university that
Jewish alums would want to attend,
spotlights interesting alumni and
explains how to get involved.
The organization hopes to form
regional UMAJA groups so that mem-
bers can get in contact with other
Jewish alumni in their area and receive
periodic updates on regional events.
Membership is free. To sign up, visit
www.umaja.org .
