FAMILY FANTASY TRAVEL
By climbing through a magic wardrobe, four children, in full view of audi-
ences, enter the land of Narnia and offer chases, duels and narrow escapes to
help good conquer evil on a Royal Oak stage. The adventure takes hold with
the Stagecrafters' production The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which
runs Dec. 11-14 at the Baldwin Theatre, 415 S. Lafayette. The play, drama-
tized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S. Lewis, is about defeating
a witch and casts youngsters 8-18 to portray the characters. The produc-
don runs about an hour, with one 15-minute intermission; and the audience
gets to meet the performers after the play ends. Curtain times are 7 p.m.
Thursday-Saturday with matinees 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. $6-$9.
