the passing of our former Executive Director,

Rabbi Israel Rockove,

who died last week.

His leadership and direction of the Hebrew

Benevolent Society for 38 years were most exemplary

The compassion and care he displayed to our Jewish

community will long be remembered. Rabbi

Rockove's advice and comfort to families in need were

always greatly appreciated. His humility and care

provided a model of a wonderful rabbi, His

RABBI ISRAEL ROCKOVE

ability to relate to all segments °four societywas most

remarkable.

Rabbi Rockove exemplified all the good that our great

organization stands for and we were truly privileged to

have him as the executive director for his almost four

decades of tireless devotion.
