JULIETTE RIBACK, 89, of Aventura,
Fla., formerly of Chicago, died Oct. 25,
2008.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Frank and Donatella
Riback of New York, Ron and Cheryl
Riback of Bloomfield Hills, Richard
Riback of Deerfield, Ill.; grandchildren,
Chris and Karen, Melissa, Benjamin
and Jennifer, Michael, Jason, Lauren,
Zachary, Ilana, Randolph and Nicolo;
great-grandchildren, Emerson, Isabelle,
Harrison, Ava and Ella; sisters-in-law,
Sylvia Riback, Francis Lorant; nieces,
nephews and friends.
Mrs. Riback was the beloved wife of
the late Morris Riback; dear sister and
sister-in-law of the late Anne and the
late Morris Damsky, the late Victor and
the late Bess Lorant, the late Bernard
Lorant, the late Harry Riback, the late
Bernard and the late Gloria Riback.
Interment in Hollywood, Florida.

SUSAN ROBIN, 56,
of Farmington Hills,
died Oct. 23, 2008. She
died at home, sur-
rounded by her hus-
band and two sons.
Mrs. Robin earned
her AART X-Ray
Robin
technologists degree
at Mt. Carmel hospital and went
on to become supervisor of special
procedures radiography at Herman
Hospital, Houston, Texas. She worked
on several advanced imaging research
projects to help radiologists develop
algorithms to determine tumor vol-
ume and advance computer radio-
graphic image analysis.
An active volunteer at synagogue,
she chaired a successful cookbook
project at Temple Beth El in Rochester,
N.Y., and at Temple Kol Ami in West
Bloomfield.
Mrs. Robin was a champion for
blood drives at Temple Kol Ami for
many years. Among her various other
volunteer activities, she received the
Volunteer of the Year award from
Jewish Family Services of Metropolitan
Detroit in 2001. She was also a Cub
Scout den mother, when her sons
were young, and created the Michigan
Badge. She was a wonderful wife,
mother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and
friend to all who knew her and loved
her. She will be sorely missed by all.
Mrs. Robin is survived by her
husband of 32 years, Neal Robin of
Farmington Hills; sons Adam Robin
and his fiancee, Jodi Manko, Daniel
Robin; siblings, Linda and Joel Chess of
Houston, Texas, Ronald Rosenberg of
St. Paul, Minn., Joel and Teri Rosenberg
of West Bloomfield; sisters-in-law and
a brother-in-law, Janis Rosenberg,
Arthur and Kathy Robin; nieces and
nephews, Mark and Michelle Chess,
Carrie Chess, Jeremy Rosenberg, Ryan
Rosenberg, and his fiancee, Kelly,
Josh Rosenberg, Aaron Rosenberg,
Jan, Andrew and Sara Robin; great-
nieces, Raizel and Shana Chess; Irva
and Manuel Faber-Bermudez, Sandro,
Michael and other loving cousins, rela-
tives and friends.
She was the beloved daughter of -
the late Shirley and the late Harold
Rosenberg; cherished sister of the late
Steven Rosenberg.

MARVIN SAFFER, 83, of Boca Raton,
Fla., died Oct. 15, 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam;
loving daughter and son-in-law, Ellen
and Eric Prevost of Lake Worth, Fla.,
and Farmington Hills; loving son, Jack
Saffer of Southfield; grandpet, Max
Prevost; stepchildren, Allan (Andrea)
Gordon, Michael (Shelly) Gordon, all
of West Bloomfield, Barry Gordon of
San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; sister-in-
law, Selma Tenenbaum; brother-in-law,
Al Schwartz; many loving nieces and
nephews.
Mr. Saffer was the loving husband of
the late Frances Saffer; brother-in-law
of the late Gerald Tenenbaum and late
Rebecca Schwartz.
