DR. MICHAEL J.
SHAENBOEN, 53, of
Flossmoor, Ill., died July
18, 2008.
He was a proud and
grateful heart recipi-
ent on Aug. 4, 1990.
Dr. Shaenboen was a
Shaenboen
graduate of the College
of Osteopathic Medicine
in Des Moines and graduate of University
of Miami. He was also a diplomate of
the American Osteopathic College of
Neurology, a member of American
Osteopathic Association, a professor of
medicine at Midwestern University and
a board member and lecturer for Gift of
Hope.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Dr. Terri Matzura; devoted son, Eric
Shaenboen; loving parents, Frank and
Sonia (Weiner) Shaenboen; dear brother,
Steve Shane (nee Shaenboen).
Contributions may be made to the Gift
of Hope, 660 N. Industrial Drive, Elmhurst,
IL, 60126. Services and interment in
Illinois. Local arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.
CARY E. SIMON, 56,
of Wolverine Lake, died
July 23, 2008.
He is survived by his
beloved wife, Andrea
Simon; sons, Eugene
Simon, Michael Simon
and David Simon;
Simon
mother, Hannelore
Simon; brother, Neil
Simon of Southfield; sister, Trudy Simon
of Ypsilanti; mother-in-law, Frances
Polakowski; many other loving family
members and friends.
Mr. Simon was the dear son of the late
Eugene Simon; son-in-law of the late
William Polakowski.
Interment at Oakview Cemetery.

ANN (MEISENBERG) SORKIN, 82, of
Oak Park, died July 27, 2008, with her lov-
ing family by her side. She was born July
7, 1926, to Philip and Mary Meisenberg of
Detroit.
Mrs. Sorkin is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Michael
Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Philip and
Roberta Sorkin; grandchildren, Melissa
and Jeffrey Davis, Jennifer Sorkin and
Steven and Angela Sorkin; great-grand-
children, Shayna and Trevor Sorkin.
She was the beloved wife for 50 years of
the late Edward Sorkin.
Contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society, American
Heart Association or a charity of one's
choice. Interment at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.
Warren
HERBERT WARREN,
86, of Walled Lake, died
July 21, 2008.
For 60 years he was
in the wholesale floor
covering business. He
was a member of the
American Legion, a
lifetime member of the
Berkley Masonic Lodge
and a past president of the Oak Park
School Board.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife,
Jeanette Warren; daughter and son-in-law,
Ellen Warren Gardner and David Gardner
of Huntington Woods; grandchildren,
Lauren and Josh Gardner; nephews and
nieces.
Mr. Warren was the beloved father of
the late Dr. Louis "Larry" Warren; lov-
ing brother of the late Lee Gold, the late
Thelma Yourist; dear brother-in-law of the
late Max Gold and the late Morris Yourist.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
