MAKE LIFE BETTER

Hilary Rotenberg

sees first-hand
how volunteers make life better for those
facing terminal illness, and their families.

Hilary, Director of Volunteer Services for
Jewish Family Service, manages the Jewish
Hospice & Chaplaincy Network's volun-
teers. "These volunteers are special because
of their ability to enter the life of someone
they don't know who is dying," Hilary says.
"It takes a special person to provide corn-
fort in trying times. Our volunteers are not
afraid of it, and they help the client and
family find calm and peace.

"The client, the family and our
volunteers all gain tremendously from the
experiences and relationships they develop
through hospice," Hilary says.
