In 1957, Mr. Siegel was elected
secretary and director of the J.C.
Robinson Company and, begin-
ning in 1958, was president of the
Michigan Beverage News until his
retirement.
He was a member of Temple Beth EI
and its men's club.
Mr. Siegel is survived by his daugh-
ter, Innis (Marvin) Dubrinsky; sis-
ter-in-law Adele Fox; niece, Lana (Dr.
Henry) Pollack; nephews, Maurice
Schoenberger, Douglas Fox, Alan
Harbitter, Val Siegel, Fred (Elena)
Klunder; many grandnieces and
grandnephews.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Blanche Siegel, dear father of the
late David B. Siegel, devoted brother of
the late Genevieve Schoenberger, the
late Dr. Harold Siegel, the late Mary
Ann Goldbaum, the late Ruth Ann
Harbitter and uncle of the late Marlene
Schoenberger.
Interment at Great Lakes National
Cemetery, Holly Township.
ETHEL SILBERG, 80, of Huntington
Woods, died May 20, 2008.
Ethel was one of the first mem-
bers of the Institute for Retired
Professionals (IRP) and was a past
president of the organization and
facilitator of several discussion
groups.
She also had leadership roles in
Ameinu (Labor Zionist Alliance) and
the Habonim Chai Commission.
When living in Oak Park she was
a member and, at one time, a chair-
person of the Planning Commission.
She was very active in the Democratic
Party serving as a precinct delegate for
many years.
Ethel was a retired teacher from the
Detroit Public School System.
She is survived by her hus-
band, David Silberg; daughters
and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Leslie
Gregory of Saginaw, Judy Loebl of
Huntington Woods, Debra Silberg
and Mark Newman of Jenkintown,
Pennsylvania; brother and sister-
in-law, Aaron and Edith Maniker
of Southfield; sisters and brother-
in-law, Miriam and Harry Ehrlich
of Farmington Hills, Irene Brenner
of West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Naomi Loebl, Rachel Loebl, Rebecca
Newman, Mira Newman; many loving
nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Silberg was the loving sister
of the late Esther Wolfson; dear sis-
ter-in-law of the late Saul Brenner,
the late Sam Wolfson. Contributions

ESTHER ZEFF, 98, of West
Bloomfield, died May 22, 2008. She
managed Sinai Hospital Gift Shop.
Mrs. Zeff is survived by her daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Barbara Becker
and Joseph Fowler of Ontario, Toni and
Mike Hughes of Southfield; daughter-
in-law, Karen Zeff of England; grand-
children, Robin and Pete Topolski,
Michelle and Jerome Pokorney, Callum
Zeff, Alexandria Zeff, Scott Becker,
Alec Hughes; great-grandchildren,
Natalie Topolski, Joseph Pokorney, Alec
Becker.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Robert Zeff and the loving mother of
the late Richard Zeff.
