ABE MUCHNICK, 96, of Southfield,
died March 19, 2008.
He was a manager of Smith Furniture
in Ypsilanti for 40 years. After his retire-
ment, he became a ranger for 20 years at
the Huron Hills Municipal Golf Course
and became a private collector and free
provider of golf balls.
A member of Beth Israel
Congregation for 70 years, Mr.
Muchnick was also very active with the
Ann Arbor B'nai B'rith.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol
Ascher of Highland Park, Ill.; grandchil-
dren, Lauri and Tom Stotter, Susan and
Scott Peterman; great-grandchildren,
Jake Stotter, Sophie Stotter, Rachel
Peterman, Josh Peterman; nieces and
nephews, Sue and Edwin Pear, Phyllis
and Rubin Zeller; companion, Arm
Weingarden and her family.
Mr. Muchnick was the beloved hus-
band for 54 years of the late Rae Pear
Muchnick; devoted father of the late
Ronald Muchnick.
Interment at Arborcrest Cemetery.

ALEXANDER G. NEMOFF, 90, of Oak
Park, died March 17, 2008.
He is survived by his daughters and
son-in-law, Beth Nemoff of Oak Park,
Peggy Nemoff and Michael Potter
of Baltimore, Md., Holly and Ronald
Hoover of Niceville, Fla.; grandchildren,
Lauren and Dylan Hoover; many nieces,
nephews, other family members and
friends.
Mr. Nemoff was the dear companion
of the late Sophie Garber; brother of the
late David Ben-Nachum.
Interment at Kibbutz Ein Dor in
