DR. PAUL
PENSLER, 92, of
Farmington Hills,
died March 1, 2008.
A dentist, Dr. Pensler
was an administrator
of Dearborn Medical
Center, which he
co-founded with his
brothers, Les and
Mike, and brother-in-
law, Al. Dr. Pensler was a captain in the
U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Jay and Laurie
Pensler of Chicago, Sanford "Sandy"
and Anita Pensler of Princeton, N.J.;
daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and
Rick Gerlinger of Ann Arbor; grand-
children, Arielle and Alexander Pensler,
Jonathan and Natasha Pensler, Megan
and Emma Gerlinger.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Joyce Pensler; the cherished brother
of the late Dr. Meyer Pensler, the late
Dorothy Koffman, the late Dr. Leslie
Pensler, the late Rose Borman and the
late Max Pensler.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may be

SHIRLEY L. PLATT, 89, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 27, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Rochelle and Dr. Charles
Markle of West Bloomfield, Lauren
and Jeffrey Tackel of West Bloomfield,
Marlene Platt of Royal Oak; sister-
in-law, Michelle Platt; grandchildren,
Lawrence and Mindy Markle, Dr. Brian
and Laura Markle, Beth and Aaron
Berman, Ilyssa Tackel; great-grandson,
Adam; special friends, Rose and Mauri
Ashkinaz.
Mrs. Platt was the beloved wife of the
late Burton J. Platt.

LARRY POGATS, 66, of Oak Park, died
Feb. 20, 2008. He was a transportation
specialist.

ROSENBERG, 54,
of Scottsdale, Ariz.,
died Feb. 8, 2008.
Born in Detroit, she
went to high school
in Southfield and
graduated college in
Rosenberg
Arizona. She was a
generous and loving
family member and
an exceptional friend. Ms. Roseneberg
devoted much of her time to painting,
pet sitting, tutoring students, assisting
teachers and volunteering her time and
service to various charitable organiza-
tions. She will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her mother,
Phyllis; brother, Marc; loving aunt,
Charlotte.
She was the daughter of the late Al
Rosenberg.
A memorial service will be held
at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008,
at Palm Mortuary Chapel, 6701 N.
Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89031.

Carol and Chip Swanson of Sebastopol,
Calif; sisters, Ruth Kurtz of Minnesota,
Marian Shefield of Wyoming, Eunice
Hayko of California; grandchildren,
Julie Schloner, Sara Losonci, Joseph
Schloner, Jonathan Schloner.
Mrs. Schloner was the beloved wife of
the late Lester Schloner; loving mother
of the late Norman Schloner.
