GRINSTEIN GLITTER Richard Grinstein, working out
of a Birmingham studio, thinks of his jewelry-making
/
career as a way to bring art into the everyday experiences
of his clients. The diversity of the rings, bracelets and
/
necklaces he has designed can be seen in an exhibit
//
curated by Linda Ross, co-owner of the disbanded
/./
,1/
Sybaris Gallery in Royal Oak. Grinstein's jewelry,
using a variety of metals and gemstones in mod-
ernistic designs, will be shown through Dec. 14 at
Galleryone, Room 108, Student Center Building,
Washtenaw Community College, 4800 E. Huron
River Dr., Ann Arbor. The exhibit, Echoes From
Nature: A Thirty Year Retrospective of Jewelry by
Richard Grinstein, features pieces (above) that span
naturalistic, geological and biomorphic themes. Also on display
are drawings and photos that were a part of the creative process. A small group of
Georg Jensen jewelry is on loan to serve as a comparison and link the artist's work
to the broader history of metalsmithing. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Mondays-Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesdays-Thursdays and 10 a.m.-noon
Fridays. (734) 477-8512.

PARTY ROMANTIC Set aside your own frenzied preparations for seasonal
celebrations to take in an evening of comedy at another family's staged wedding
celebration. The interactive theater piece Tony n' Tina's Wedding varies with
every performance and runs through Dec. 20 at the San Marino
fm!,
Club, 1685 Big Beaver, Troy. Stan Newman and Adam Rochkind
are in the production that has the cast intermingling with the
audience and revealing scripted secrets about the central
Nunzio and Vitale family members. A traditional Italian
wedding dinner, a toast to the couple and dancing to
a live band become part of the entertainment and the
opportunities for audience participation. $63 includes din-
ner, wedding cake and toasts. (313) 885-3032.
