The Professional Leaders Project
sponsors up to 10 graduate fellow-
ships per year for people interested in
a career in Jewish Professional leader-
ship. PLP is a three-year-old entre-
preneurial, nonprofit organization
whose mission is to prepare Jews who
are 20- or 30-somethings to become
future professional and volunteer
leaders.
The fellowships can be used to pur-
sue study at any of the top 30 MBA
or MPA programs, particularly those
with a nonprofit concentration.

Israel's Critics
The Charge
Last week, a senior member of
Palestinian President Mahmoud
Abbas' delegation harshly criti-
cized Israeli Defense Minister
Ehud Barak, saying he is an
obstacle to negotiations.
The Answer
Ehud Barak is a former Israeli
prime minister and the most
decorated soldier in Israel's
history. For seven years, the
Palestinians have blamed him
for the breakdown of the Camp
David negotiations in 2000,
which led to the second intifada.
His commitment to Israel's
security, to defending Israel's
historic and religious claims to
Jerusalem and to parts of the
West Bank remains unshakable.
