88, of Oak Park,
died Sept. 5, 2007.
She was a 1940
University of
Michigan nursing
school graduate
and a lieutenant
Gold
in the Army dur-
ing World War
II. She was also a founder of the
Michigan Parkinson's Foundation,
an 8 over 80 awardee in 2005, a
lifetime member of Congregation
Beth Shalom and, prior to her mar-
riage, worked as a nurse for Fresh
Air Camps.
Mrs. Gold is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Rabbi
Marilyn Gold and David Leichman
of Israel; sons and daughters-in-law,
Arthur Gold and Marion Secrest
of Rhode Island, Michael Gold and
Julia Wilford of Missouri, Steven
and Jeanette Gold of Kansas; grand-
children, Eliora, Ari-Shai and Alon
Leichman, David, Zach, Hannah,
Ellen, Leah and Genevie Gold;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Morrie
and Dolores Katz, Dr. Isadore and
Lita Katz, Jerry and Stephanie Katz
of Detroit; sister, Anna Katz Brenner.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Ruben Gold; dear sister of the
late Jeannette Tilchin.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
