bat mitzvah. Her grandparents are
Faye Katz and Irene Astrein. She is also
the grandchild of the late Saul Katz
and the late Cyril Astrein.
Carly attends James R. Geisler
Middle School in Walled Lake. She felt
it was very meaningful to participate
in the Relay for Life to help fight can-
cer as part of her mitzvah projects.

Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak was a

David Brevoort. She is also the grand-
child of the late Mollie Brevoort.
Shoshana attends Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. For her
mitzvah project, she volunteered her
time working at Temple Israel in sev-
eral different areas.

Drew Evan (Doron Evan) and Devon
Max (David Moshe) Herzoff will
become b'nai mitzvah at Temple Beth
El in Bloomfield Twp. on Saturday, Sept.
15. Participating in the ceremony will
be proud parents, Michael and Molly
(Bindes) Herzoff, and big brother Dean
Stanley. Proud grandparents are Jack
and Susan Bindes of Bloomfield Hills.
The boys are also grandsons of the late
Stanley and the late Dorothy Herzoff.
Drew and Devon are students
at West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. Their mitzvah
projects include assisting with West
Bloomfield-based Friendship Circle
with their cousin Brett.
Brian Kover was called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 11,
at Congregation Beth Jehudah in
Overland, Kan. Sharing in the simchah
were his parents Mark and Dr. Karen
Kover. Brian is the grandson of Janet
Kover of West Bloomfield, the late
David Kover, Carol and John Ziegler.
