Her grandparents are Faye Katz and Irene Astrein. She is also the grandchild of the late Saul Katz and the late Cyril Astrein. Carly attends James R. Geisler Middle School in Walled Lake. She felt it was very meaningful to participate in the Relay for Life to help fight can- cer as part of her mitzvah projects.
