FOUR T H ANNUAL
Fun Up North
Chabad camp features sports, songs
and skits and lots of learning.
C
amp Gan Israel provided a camp-
ing experience — including
songs, skits, sports and Shabbat
— for 150 campers in two programs this
summer.
The first program, for kids ages 7-13
from all Jewish backgrounds, was run
by a staff of 50. Staff and campers came
from as far as Israel, Russia, Thailand and
Sweden and as close as Oak Park. Field
trips went to water parks, bowling alleys,
ice skating rinks and parasailing.
The Summer Yeshivah Division saw
older campers spend the majority of their
day learning in the tranquil, northern
Lower Peninsula environment. Rabbis
staff the division. II
