HELEN S. KRASNER, 83, of
Southfield, died July 8, 2007.
She is survived by her husband,
Simon Krasner; sons and daughters-
in-law, Sanford and Susan Krasner
of Altadena, Calif., Brian and Sharon
Krasner of Huntington Woods; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Enid Krasner and
Alan Rothenberg of Philadelphia,
Pa.; grandchildren, Tzvi Krasner,
Talya Krasner, Gedalla Krasner, Sara
Krasner, James Krasner.

Hwy., Southfield, MI 48075. Interment
in St. Louis, Mo. Services and arrange-

SHIRLEY LEIDER, 77, of Southfield,
died July 11, 2007. She was in retail
clothing sales.
Mrs. Leider is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and
Barry Lepofksy of Farmington Hills;
son, Dennis Leider; grandchildren,
Lauren Garrisi and Jeffrey Garrisi;
brother and sisters-in-law, Harry and
Anna Trivax, Ann Trivax.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Jack Leider; dear sister of the late
Nathan Trivax, the late Mollie Horrell,
the late Seymour Trivax, the late Eva
Weiner.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

ETHEL LEVINE, 90, of Farmington
Hills, died July 11, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Arlyne Cherrin of
Farmington Hills, Joanne and Larry
Cohen of Bloomfield Hills, Cheri and
Dr. Stewart Epstein of West Bloomfield;
brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and
Roz Redisch of Pallas Verdes Estates,
Calif.; grandchildren, Deborah (Steve)
Cherrin-Rohde, Larry Cherrin, Peggy
Cherrin, Robert (Becky) Cherrin,
Dori (Scott) Oshinslcy, Marla (Ronny)

She was the beloved wife of the late
Melvin M. Levine; mother-in-law of
the late Fred Cherrin; sister of the late

Lyness.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

HERSCHEL LEVINE, 86, of
Farmington Hills, died July 10, 2007.
He was a teacher, probation officer
and real estate investor. He was also
a member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek and the Jewish Community
Center.
Mr. Levine is survived by his daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Jennifer and
Jeffrey Coffman of Ferndale, Caryn
Haas of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Debbie
Levine of Ft. Lauderdale; son, Dennis
Haas of Ft. Lauderdale; grandchildren,
Zachary Levine, Joshua Coffman,
Brianna Coffman; sister, Iris Gorzeck;
sister-in-law, Lois Levine.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Nancy H. Levine; loving brother of
the late Seymour Levine; dear brother-
in-law of the late Louis Gorzeck.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

JOSEPH MERDLER, 83,of
Farmington, formerly of Saginaw, died
July 6, 2007, at Beaumont Hospital in
Royal Oak.
He was born on May 10, 1924,
in Saginaw. He married the former
Marilyn June Weinberger. Mr. Merdler
was an electrical engineer for the U.S.
government; he served in the Army
during World War II. He was a member
of the Downtown Synagogue in Detroit.
Mr. Merdler is survived by his wife,
Marilyn; daughters, Carol M. Deutsch,
Barbara (Dr. John Gregory) Schultz;
grandchildren, Kimberly Kay and
Stephen Gregory.
He was the son of the late John and
the late Julia (Weiss) Merdler; brother
of the late Louis, the late Henry, the
late Victor, and the late Oscar.
Graveside services were held at the
