MAX MONHEIT, 81, of Commerce
Twp., died May 5, 2007.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Esther Lowen Monheit; daughters
and son-in-law, Joan Monheit of
Richmond, Calif., Patti Monheit of
Denver, Colo., Lisa and Bob Jaffe of
West Bloomfield; son and daughter-
in-law, Bruce and Carol Lowen of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Erin
Lowen, Jonathon Lowen, Lauren Jaffe
and Michelle Jaffe.
He was the dear husband of the
late Dorothy Monheit and his second
wife, the late Ruth Monheit; brother
of the late Betty Monheit and the late
Ruben Monheit.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to the American Cancer
Society or to the Detroit Symphony.
Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel.

MARIANN MOORE, 81, of
Southfield, died May 5, 2007.
She is survived by her husband,
Jack Moore; sons and daughters-in-
law, Howard and Catherine Fridson
of Huntington Woods, Martin and
Elaine Sisman Fridson of New York
City, N.Y.; stepdaughters and step-
son-in-law, Linda and Allan Ross
of Huntington Woods, Susan Moore
of Clinton Township; brother and
sister-in-law, Sam and Thelma Rodd
of Southfield; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Ernest and Josephine
Fridson, Sheldon and Ruby Fridson;
grandchildren, Nate Fridson, Blake
Fridson, Arielle Fridson, Daniel
Fridson, Russell Fridson; many loving
nieces and nephews, great-nieces and
great-nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Fridson; loving sister of
the late Joseph Rodd, the late Harold
Rodd, the late Norman Rodd, the late
Elsie Rodd; dear sister-in-law of the
late Rose Rodd, the late Sarah Rodd,
the late Hilda Rodd.
Contributions may be made
to Hadassah or to a charity of
one's choice. Interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

THEODORE POWERS, 96, of Bay
Harbor Islands, Fla., died April 27,
2007. The retired owner of Lobby
Hobby on Woodward and 6 Mile
Road, Mr. Powers was also an accom-
plished artist. He taught painting in
Miami for many years. He was also
active with the Anti-Defamation
League, Technion, B'nai B'rith and the
Allied Jewish Campaign.

Mr. Powers is survived by his wife,
Henrietta Powers of Bay Harbor
Islands; children, Dr. Daniel and
Fala Powers, Lisa Powers and Bob
Pomann, David and Christi Powers,
Penny and Richard Dicks, Julie and
Ralph Bare; grandchildren, Stephanie,
Michelle and Zachary Powers, Sam
Poman, other grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred
Tenebaum.
He was the beloved brother of the
late Marvin Powers.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

MIVI RACHMIEL, 77, of West
Bloomfield, died May 4, 2007. She
was a teacher and editor.
Mrs. Rachmiel is survived by her
husband, Leonard Rachmiel; daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Henya Rachmiel
and Jed Bromfield of Commerce
Township, Marni Rachmiel of Seattle,
Wash.
She was the dear sister of the late
Janet Erman.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
