SALUTES ANOTHER
HOSPICE HER
J oan Cascade has cared for two husbands who
died from cancer. She had little help tending to
her first husband, but Joan received comfort,
kindness and spiritual guidance from the Jewish
Hospice & Chaplaincy Network at the end of her
second husband's life.
Today Joan is one of JHCN's busiest volunteers.
"People don't understand why I do this," she says.
"I wanted to give back. I know exactly where the
family is coming from. They give me a lot more
than I can give them."
