SYDNEY ROSENBERG, 87, of West
Bloomfield, died March 31, 2007.
He is survived by his children, R.
Susan (Scott) Bisel, Lawrence (Maria)
Rosenberg, Michelle (Jerry) Newman,
Rene (Michael) Twomey, Terri (Timothy)
Webster and Scott (Jody) Rosenberg; also
survived by 12 devoted grandchildren.
Sydney was the beloved husband of the
late Maxine Rosenberg.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one's choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

VILIAM SCHON, 93, of Farmington Hills,
died March 30, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Erna Schon;
daughters and son-in-law, Greta and
Jerry Hoffman of Farmington Hills; Eva
Schon of Slovakia; brother, Martin Schoen
of Southfield; sister and brother-in-law,
Jennie and Nate Hoffman of California;
grandchildren, Jessica Hoffman, Norbert
Gati; great-grandchild, Nichole Gati.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to
Holocaust Memorial Center or the Jewish

RUTH SILVERMAN, 93, of West
Bloomfield, died March 26, 2007.
A legal secretary, Mrs. Silverman was a
member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek
for more than 50 years and a member of
its sisterhood. She also volunteered for
Jewish Federation Task Force and JARC.
Mrs. Silverman is survived by sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr. Philip and
Barbara Silverman of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dr.
Raymond and Alice Silverman of Highland
Park, Ill.; daughter and son-in-law, Lois
and Robert Kaplow of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Michelle and Ronald Saltz,
Jared Silverman and Lange Taylor, Michael
Silverman, Joseph and Wendy Silverman,
Julie Kaplow Prossin and Alan Prossin,
Jeffrey Kaplow and Jessica Wolland;
great-grandchildren, Allison and Hannah
Saltz, Jonah Prossin; sister, Beatrice Raitt
of West Bloomfield; brother and sister-
in-law, Morton and Cookie Oppenheim
of Riverside, Calif.; sisters-in-law and a

HENRIETTA SKLAR, 93, former
Detroiter of Williamsport, Pa., died March
23, 2007.
An office manager, Mrs. Sklar received a
bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1933
and then a master's degree in 1934 from
the University of Michigan. A member of
Women's American ORT and Hadassah,
she was a volunteer reader for North
Central Sight Services, Inc.
Mrs. Sklar is survived by daughters and
sons-in-law, Judith and Stanley Kaplan of
Williamsport, Elaine and Steven Gold of
Decatur, Ga.; five grandchildren, twin great-
grandchildren; nephew, Rabbi Julian Cook.
Mrs. Sklar was the beloved wife of the
late Ben Herman Sklar and the devoted
daughter of the late Thomas and the late
Esther Cook.
Interment at Arborcrest Cemetery.

ARTHUR WOLF, 71, of Commerce
Township, died March 30, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Wolf;

Christine Wolf of Oak Park; daughter and
son-in-law, Tracy and Yossi Hadar of West
Bloomfield; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Harvey and Marsha Wolf of Farmington
Hills, William "Bill" and Georgeann Wolf
of Farmington Hills; sister, Marilyn Wolf
of Novi; sisters-in-law and brother-
in-law, Marion Moskovitz, Phyllis and
Norman Levy; grandchildren, Devora
Leah, Menachem Mendel, Chana, Schneur,
Shalom, Shterna, Atara, Rochel, Chaya,
Levi, Hadassah, Nuri; loving nieces and
nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-
great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wolf was the loving brother-in-law
of the late Norman Charusofsky.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
