BRUCE MACMURRAY, 81, of
Scottsdale, Ariz., died Feb. 9, 2007. He
was a World War II veteran.
Mr. MacMurray is survived by his
daughters and son-in-law, Donna
and Sheldon Klein of Birmingham,
Cheryl Dellario of Arizona; son, Barry
MacMurray of Arizona; grandchildren,
Rebecca and Grace Klein, Brandon
and Jared Dellario. He was the beloved
husband of the late Doris MacMurray.
A memorial service will be held
at noon Sunday, March 11, at Temple
Emanu-El. Contributions may be
made to the American Cancer Society,

ANNA MICKEL,
92, of West
Bloomfield, died
March 3, 2007. She
was an active volun-
teer in many areas of
the community. She
served as an officer

of the Women's
Auxiliary of the
United Hebrew Schools and was active
with the auxiliary of the Jewish Home
s& Aging Services, planning programs
for the residents and setting up and
running the libraries in several build-
ings. She was also active in the sister-
hood of Congregation Beth Shalom.
Mrs. Mickel served as chairper-
son of the Area Agency on Aging
1-B Advisory Council for 10 years
and continued being active on the
Advisory Council and other com-
mittees of the Area Agency through
last year. She was a trained Medicare
Medicaid counselor. She was also
active with many other groups,
including B'nai B'rith Women, the
Elderly Advisers to Research of the
Wayne State University Institute of
Gerontology, Blue Cross Blue Shield
of Michigan Customers Advisory
Council, the Oakland Livingston
Human Services Agency and the
Commission of Senior Adults of the
city of Southfield. Among the many
awards recognizing her dedicated
service were the United Community
Services Heart of Gold Award, the
Aging in the Future Geri Award,
the Eight over 80 Award, the City
of Southfield Community Service
Award, the Michigan Recreation &
Park Association Margaret Whitehead
Senior Citizen of the Year Award,
the YMCA Golden Oldie Award,
Governor's Honor Roll nominee,
MMAP Distinguished Service Award,
Jewish Home & Aging Services
Guardianship Program Volunteer of
the Year.
Mrs. Mickel is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Harold and Iris
Mickel of Farmington Hills; daugh-
ter, Susan Mickel of Elmhurst, N.Y.;
grandchildren, Shari (Neil) Zemmol,
Jodi (Lee) Dorkin, Amy (Dr. Craig)
Lash; great-grandchildren, Rachel,
Julia, Alec, Brooklyn and Savannah;
many other loving family members
and friends. She was the beloved wife
of the late Jack B. Mickel; sister of the
late Ben Krasno.
Interment at the Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wheels Program at the Jewish Family
Service, the West Bloomfield Public

LILLIAN PANZER, 87, of West
Bloomfield, died March 1, 2007.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, William and Hedda
Panzer of West Bloomfield; sister,
Charlotte Weinstein of Birmingham,
Ala.; grandchildren, Sherryl (Daniel)
Perry and David Panzer; great-grand-
children, Kiera and Riley. She was the
beloved wife of the late Leo Panzer;
mother of the late Howard Panzer.

WILLIAM P. SHANFIELD, 85, of
Oak Park, died March 3, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Edna
