ESTHER JACOBY, 96, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 23, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Ruth and Louis Shifrin
of West Bloomfield, Evelyn and David
Kreger of Oak Park; son, Kenneth
Jacoby of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Amy (Nirel) Levinson, Mark
Shifiin, Jennifer (Areyeh) Bar-El, Joyce
(Todd) Suriano, Diane (companion
Kathy Ritter) Kreger, Sandy Kreger and
Vanessa Jacoby; great-grandchildren,
Ori, Adi, Amit, Hadar, Alon, No a and
Michael. Also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews, family members and
friends.
Esther was the beloved wife of the
late Thomas S. Jacoby.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by

ROBERTA LIPPITT, 81, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 19, 2007.
She was the beloved wife of Calvin;
dearest mother of Michael Joseph and
Robert Gary; loving grandmother of
Jeremy.

SIDNEY E. LOCKE, 88, of San
Diego, formerly of Detroit, died Feb. 16,
2007.
Mr. Locke was in the steel business.
An engineer in the Army Air Corps
during World War II, he was active with
Adat Shalom Synagogue in Michigan
and also Ner Tamid in California and
Kehillas Torah.
He is survived by his wife of 65
years, Shirley Locke of San Diego; son
and daughter-in-law, Dr. Bruce Locke
and Nancy Sway; daughter and son-in-
law, Denise and Dr. Phillip Levy; grand-
children, Alexandra and Dave Smith,
Erica and David Levesque, Emily Joyce
Levy, Tamara and Ric Anderson, Zac
Sway Locke, Jesse David Locke; great-
grandchildren, Adam Samuel Katz,
Evan Jacob Katz, Danielle Maxine Katz,
Maxine Mirielle Levesque, Michael
Paul Levesque, Lillian Rose Levesque;
brother-in-law, Julius Stross; nieces and
nephews, Carol and Skip Roberts, Dr.
Jeoffrey and Ellen Stross, Roger Bruce
Hyman, Dr. Andrea and Dr. Robert
Kaplan, Terri and Rick Birndorf, Lori

Mr. Locke was the beloved son
of the late Reva and the late Morris
Fishman; the dear brother of the late
Molly Stross, the late Goldie Hyman,

the late Theodore H. Fishman; the
cherished brother-in-law of the late
Barney Hyman, the late Jocelyn and the
late Darwin Canvasser, the late Eugene
Daniel Galin; the devoted son-in-law
of the late Marian and the late David
Galin.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial

ROBERT SCHRAM, 96, of
Southfield, died Feb. 24, 2007. He was a
buyer for Allen Industries.
Mr. Schram is survived by lov-
ing nieces, nephews and friends. He
was the beloved husband of the late
Dorothy Schram and the dear father of
the late Fredrica "Freddie" Harris.
Interment at Beth El Memorial

Detroiter of Glencoe, Ill., died Feb. 19,
2007.
He was the beloved husband of

(Monnye Gross) Solomon, Beth Jacobs;
cherished grandfather of Tennyson,
Channing, Nigel, Atlee, Mead and
Shane; dear brother of Dorothy (the
late Irv) Golding.
