PAUL J. ICAATZ, 94, formerly of
Huntington Woods of Sarasota, Fla.,
died Feb. 11, 2007. He was longtime
chairman of Best Mfg. Co. in Detroit.
Mr. Kaatz is survived by his beloved
wife, Polly; children, Lin Kaatz Chary,
Stephen (Susan) Kaatz, Walter (Jane)
Kaatz; brother, Martin (Carla) Kaatz;
grandchildren, Michelle Kaatz, Ella
Rose Chary, Joel Kaatz, Aaron Kaatz.
He was the brother of the late Bertram
(Kathleen) Kaatz; son of the late David
Kaatz and the late Ella Kaatz.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb.16
and Saturday Feb. 17, from 1-8 p.m.
at 13111 Sherwood Ave., Huntington
Woods. A remembrance service will
be held in Sarasota at later date.

BEATRICE KATZ, 88, of Troy, died
Feb. 8, 2007.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Marshall and
Michele Katz of Brighton; daughter
and son-in-law, Elisa and Dr. Donald
Dreyfuss of Bloomfield Hills; grand-
children, Ryan and Julie Katz, Robyn
Katz, Heather and Stevan Rosenberg,
Heath Dreyfuss, Hayley Dreyfuss,
Heidi Dreyfuss; great-granddaughter,
Olivia Katz; sister, Shirley Klar; broth-
er-in-law, Joseph Davis.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Max Katz; dear sister and sister-in-law
of the late Edward Klar, the late Edith
and the late Harry Metler and the late
Ann Davis.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

ESTHER (FIRA) KUPER, 86, of
Royal Oak, died Feb. 8, 2007.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Sam and Laurie
Kuper of West Bloomfield; daughter,

Jan. 24, in Napa, Calif.
She is survived by her father, Harold

of Roseville, Leslie (Robert) Hawring
of Huntington Woods; nieces and
nephews, Arielle Lipshaw, Matthew

Hawring, Scott Hawring; stepbrothers,
Sanford Freed of Grand Rapids, Daniel
Freed of West Bloomfield.
Services were held at the Sha'arei
Shalom section of the Mount
Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

HERMAN MARCZAK,

87, of
Southfield, died Feb. 5, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda
Marczak; daughter and son-in-
law, Sara and Sam Green of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Elana
Leigh and Brandon Light, Leora Ann
Green; nieces and nephews; broth-
ers-in-law and sisters-in-law; cousins,
David and Chana Marchak of Israel.

Hebrew Memorial Park. Arrangements

RICHARD PRENTIS, 86, of
Huntington Woods, died Feb. 5, 2007.
He was the owner of Prentis
Cadillac in Wyandotte, which he sold
in the late1970s. He was also the
author of Passages in Retirement,
which he wrote after receiving a mas-
ter's degree in psychology.
Mr. Prentis is survived by his wife,
Harriet Prentis; son and daughter-in-
law, Michael and Mandy Prentis of
Huntington Woods.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to St.
John's Hospice or to a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman
Chapel.

DIANA RAIKOW, 98, of Chicago,
died Feb. 2, 2007.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Dr.
Radmila Raikow of Richmond, Calif.;
daughters and sons-in-law, Marian
and Morris Levenson of Southfield,
Barbara and Dr. Steven Balldn of
Chicago; grandchildren, David and
Susan Raikow, Steven and Rebecca

Levenson, Melissa and Paku Misra;
great-grandchildren, Samantha,
Sophia, Jenna. She was the beloved
wife of the late Harold Raikow.
