Elizabeth Kirshner, age 12, Oak Park:
I've been going to Camp Stone for four year and I love it because it provides a
wonderful Jewish environment and an opportunity to make friends from all over
— even Israel. The counselors are really nice, and it's a truly meaningful experi-
ence.

Max Jensen, age 16, Beverly Hills:
Almost every summe, I attend [Habonim Droll Camp Tavor. The reason that I've
kept returning since I was 11 years old is the people. I've made some of my best
friends there. Everyone is nice to everyone else, there is little or no division into
cliques, and there are no popularity contests. Everyone has an equal opportunity
to build long-lasting relationships with other people, regardless of how popular
they are at school.

Jules Coach, age 17, Whitmore
Lake:
For me, summers are the most memorable times
of my life. Not because I dread Michigan winters
or schoolwork, but because of Maplehurst, a
traditional camp near Traverse City. The people
there and the way that imagination is fostered
are what I love most about camp. Everyone com-
bines their creativity to develop an environment
that is care free and fun. I have met some of my
best friends here. Imagine being outside, trying
new things, and meeting people from around
the world. You won't believe it until you do it, but
this could be the summer that changes your life.

Tali Jensen, age 14, Beverly Hills:
At Camp Tavor, everyone is your friend and you make tons of new friends. You
have meaningful, spiritual Jewish moments like on Erev Shabbat. You stand and
sing as the sun is setting and wish each other a Shabbat Shalom. You have a great
time at Tavor. There's so much to do and you have a great variety of activities to
choose from. We get to leave camp and go places. I like that because I like camp-
ing and nature.

Eli Jensen, age 11, Beverly Hills:
I like going to Camp Tavor because it's fun and
we go camping. We meet new people from other
states and Israel. The Hebrew lessons are well-
taught. We have really good choices for chugim
(special interest activities) like geo-caching.
We had another chug where Tavor was part of
the Underground Railroad. We went around
and found stuff with metal detectors. We meet
with the kids from our local area to get to know
them better and plan to meet during the school
year. The food is really, really good on Shabbat,
especially the challah. The chicken is cooked
perfectly.
