She is survived

DR. PHILLIP
M. SHERMAN,

90, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Dec. 1,
2006.
He began on
Hastings Street in
Detroit and then,
as a boy, worked
Sherman
in his father's dry
goods store. At
age 20, he earned an undergraduate
degree at City College of Detroit and
then graduated from the University of
Detroit Dental School.
Dr. Sherman enlisted in the Army
and retired with the rank of captain,
after having served several years in
Europe during World War II.
Following the war, he returned to
Detroit and founded his own den-
tal practice. He was also an active
member of the Alpha Omega dental
fraternity as well as the American and
Michigan dental associations.
He was a member of the Jewish War
Veterans and enjoyed reading books
and seeing films related to the war.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Helen Sherman; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Ronald and Candyce

Sherman of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Pam and Gene
Lumberg of West Bloomfield, Donna
and Randall Sims of New York;
brother and sister-in-law, Edward
and Helen Sherman of Southfield;
grandchildren, Eric Lumberg, Nicole
and Aaron Wasserman, Adam and
Amy Lumberg, Ariane and Justin
Sims, Alexander Sherman and
Benjamin Sherman; great-grand-
children, Britney Wasserman and
Harrison Lumberg; brother-in-law
and sisters-in-law, Al and Harriet
Colman, Diane Pomish; best friends
of 86 years, Abe Pearlman, and his
wife, Sylvia.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.

MARTIN "MARTY" SHEYER,

62, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of
Oak Park, died Dec. 1, 2006.
He is survived by fiancee, Diane
Mash; sister and brother-in-law, Rita
and Larry Cohen; brother, Harvey
Sheyer.
He was the son of the late Betty
Star and the late Fred Sheyer.
The family will sit shivairand have
minyan at sundown on Wednesday,
Dec. 27, and Thursday, Dec.28, at
Rita and Larry Cohen's home, 172
Hurondale, White Lake Township,
MI 48386 (1/4 mile west of Williams
Lake Road off Elizabeth Lake).

ished companion of Betty Yet; devoted
son of the late Max and the late Rose
Sucher; beloved brother of M. Marvin
and Sharon Sucher; dearest uncle of

Sucher; great-uncle of Justin, Blair,
Caroline, Cole and Catherine Sucher.
