PAMELA GWEN (DAVIDSON)
TAYLOR, 43, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, killed
in a car accident Nov. 12 outside of Dallas.
She is survived by her husband, Richard
Taylor; children, Benjamin, 17; Travis, 15;
Richard Jr., 4; younger brother, Richard
Davidson of Denver, Colo.; older brother,
Michael Davidson of Dana Point, Calif.;
father, Arnold Davidson of West Bloomfield.
She was the daughter of the late Jean
Davidson.
Services were held at the Harvey

Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Vernon.
Contributions may be made to a trust fund
for Pamela's children that is being set up.

MILDRED TELL, 93, of West Bloomfield,
died Nov. 22, 2006.
She is survived by her son and daughter-
in-law, Robert and Elaine Tell; grandchil-

dren, Celeste Tell and James Fair, Perry and
Elizabeth Tell, Brian and Rachel Tell; five
great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Pearl of
Florida. •

LOUIS L.
WEINSTEIN, 93, of
Farmington Hills, died
Nov. 21, 2006. During
World War II, he was a
member of the Army
intelligence. A graduate of
Detroit College of Law in
Weinstein
1936, he became partners
with his brother, Milton,
for 50 years at Weinstein
and Weinstein. He was also a member
of Jewish War Veterans, B'nai B'rith and
Institute of Retired Professionals.
Mr. Weinstein is survived by his wife of
63 years, Beatrice Weinstein of Farmington
Hills; children, Suzanne Pregerson and Frank
Werblin, Jeffrey Weinstein and Ginger Parnes
of Berkley, Calif, Elizabeth and Jay Zerwekh
of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Jonah
and Louisa Pregerson, Rachel Zerwekh,
Matthew Zerweky, Lyla Weinstein. He was the
loving brother of the late Harry Weinstein,
the late Milton Weinstein, the late Pauline
Guifreund and the late Sam Winn.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the
Louis and Beatrice Scholar Fund at Temple
Emanu-El, 14450 W. 10 Mile Road, Oak Park,
MI 48237. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman

RUTH EILEEN WHITMAN, 82, of
Alma, formerly of Freeland, died Nov. 21,
2006. She was born to the late John and
Almira (Greenman) Hilsinger of Alma on
July 14, 1924, and resided in the Alma area
most of her life. She attended Alma College,
worked for Lufkin Rule Co., was past-
president of Saginaw County Democratic
Women's Club and was a talented seamstress,
artist and baker.
Mrs. Whitman is survived by daughter,
Sue (Michael) Freedland of Northville;
grandchildren, Barry (Diane) Freedland,
Jennifer (Bradley) Kahn, Joshua (Allison)
Freedland, Emily (Stephen) Stuchell; great-
grandchildren, Hayden, Sophie and Sage;
special friends and cousins, Lillian (Roger)
Hudson. She was predeceased by her former
husband, Robert C. Whitman; mother of the
late Robert C. Whitman II.
Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery,
Freeland. Contributions may be made to
Alma College. Arrangements by the Freeland
Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral
Homes Inc., Freeland.

Correction

• The obituary for Mollie Stern (Nov. 23)
should have indicated that she is survived
by sisters-in-law, Estelle Lasser and Phyllis
Stern, and that she was the dear sister-in-law
of the late Jacob Lasser and the late Julian
Stern.
