• Frames: Now that you've got the portrait or prints, you'll need something
to frame. ft in. Everyone can always use a frame for something. "A gift cer-
tificate for a frame or custom framing is wonderful because framing is like
buying clothes — everyone has their own style, personality, colors," says
Ann Bridges of the family-owned, Grand Rapids-based Frames Unlimited.
"Sometimes it's a challenge to pick out a frame for someone."

There are frames for every budget, from $25 to $1,000 or more for
custom framing. Frames Unlimited, 6616 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield
Plaza, Bloomfield Township (248) 626-3130; 6893 Orchard Lake Road,
West Bloomfield, (248) 626-2555.

• Ballroom Dance Lessons: it's been proven that dancing is a great
aerobic exercise. It can increase confidence and self-expression, and
be a stress reliever. It's also a great social outlet and a great way to
meet others interested in the same activity. A gift certificate for dance
lessons can be given to a single or a couple. Learn various styles,
including Latin, tango, salsa and the classics.

Gift certificates go from $30 for one group lesson to $1,000 or more,
depending on the skill level and whether the lessons are private. Fred
Astaire Dance Studio, 2510 S. Telegraph, Suite 200, Bloomfield Hills,
(248) 454-1715.

• Online Judaica: Want to give a gift tied to Chanukah, but you're not
sure what to give? Does the recipient like dreidels or menorahs? If you
give a gift certificate tied to an online Judaica store, they can choose
what suits them best. And you can opt to have the certificate delivered
by e-mail so they never have to leave the computer to redeem it.
Jewish.com is already boasting new gifts for Chanukah, including me-
norahs for all generations starting at $35. It's a good way to give a gift
of Jewish tradition. Go to Jewish.com and look for "gift certificate."
