. _ hanukah is approaching sooner than you
expect, and you still haven't thought of any
unique gift ideas for family and friends? Don't
despair, Try gift certificates,

Some find them thoughtful because they allow you to
choose what you like; others find them totally uncre-
ative, Still, they allow you to give a gift in a price range
you can afford without much fuss.

A word of caution; Be sure an expiration date is clearly marked on the cer-
tificate or gift card. Occasionally, some expire in less than a year. Some are
good Indefinitely. It's always a horrible feeling to remember a gift certificate
only to realize its already expired.

Don't buy that line that gift certificates aren't creative. If you think of the
person and what they like, you're sure to find a gift certificate to suit most
tastes. Take these, for example:

I Portrait sitting; Perfect for grandparents to give their children because
then they benefit, too, by getting a copy of a family portrait. Monni Must of
Naturally Photography in Bloomfield Hills specializes in capturing newborns
and expectant mothers, who she follows through their pregnancies, "A por-
trait sitting is an experience; you're not just in and out quickly," Must says,

"It is a relationship-building time where I really learn about them, I try to
capture their essence. Each portrait session takes on a life of its own. I have
a basic plan for what I think were going to do, but circumstances dictate
what we end up doing. Flexibility is key."

A typical sitting plus CD slide show of proofs Is $275. Prints are an addition-
al charge. Sometimes people just give the amount they want to give toward
buying prints. Naturally Photography, 4593 Chelsea Lane, Bloomfield Hills,
