HOSPICE HER ES

Jennifer Tisdale

was encouraged by a hospice
rabbi's warmth and kindness when her aunt was
dying. Then 19, the future rabbi vowed to make
chaplaincy work part of her life.

Before being ordained, she interned with JHCN and
completed training in clinical pastoral care.

"Every family grabs my heart, and I will be there as
long as people need guidance and a hand to hold,"
says Rabbi Tisdale, of Temple Israel and JHCN. "I
became a rabbi to help and to be there when families
need spiritual comfort."
