Kevin Harrison Malerman will
read from the Torah on the occasion
of his bar mitzvah, Saturday, Nov. 11,
at Temple Israel. He is the son of
Janet and Stephen Malerman and the
brother of Rachael, Derek, Joshua and
Ryan. Sharing in the simchah will
be his grand-
parents Hazel
and Ralph
Williams. He
is also the
grandchild of
the late Ruth
Malerman.
Kevin is a
Malerman
student at the
Birmingham
Covington School. His most mean-
ingful mitzvah project involved send-
ing funds to Animal Rescue Fund in
Israel for the aid of pets displaced by
the war evacuations.

Jordyn Halle Migdal will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
Saturday, Nov. 11, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Southfield. She is
the daughter of Melissa and Arnold
and sister of Allison and Jake. Sharing
the simchah will be grandparents
Isabelle Migdal
and Janet and
William Sparks.
Jordyn is also
the grand-
daughter of
the late Harry
Migdal.
Jordyn is a
Migdal
student at West
Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project has been
volunteering at the West Bloomfield-
based Friendship Circle.

Rachel Ann Pad will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel,
Friday, Nov. 10. Her parents are
Rhonda Deana and Dr. Michael Pad.
She is the sister of Ricki and Rebecca.
Her grand-
parents are
Rosalie Dean
and Helen Pad.
She is also the
grandchild of
the late Harold
Dean and the
late William
Rachel Pad
Pad.
Rachel is an eighth-grade stu-
dent at West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. She participated
in the Relay for Life through the
American Cancer Society as one of
her mitzvah projects and felt this was
very meaningful.
