Esteemed conductor Valery Gergiev and the Kirov
Orchestra return for the final installment of the
Shostakovich Centennial Festival / a series of concerts
celebrating the 100th birthday of Russian composer
Dmitri Shostakovich. This series of concerts by the Kirov
will only be performed in Ann Arbor and New York City.

Symphony No. 11 in g minor, Op. 103 ("The Year 1905") (1957)
The Royal Shakespeare Company returns to Ann Arbor
for three weeks in October and November with 21 public
performances of Antony and Cleopatra, Julius Caesar,
and The Tempest, with Patrick Stewart as Antony and
Prospero. Members of the RSC and local experts will
participate in over 4o free educational events that are
