ILAN GITTLEN, 54, of Ann Arbor,
died Sept. 27, 2006. He was founder
and president of Balance Consulting,
a tax information software and
publishing company. Mr. Gittlen
was a member of Labor Zionist
Alliance)and was active with political
and social concerns.
He is survived by his wife of four
years, Janet Fry of Ann Arbor; children,
Ariela Gittlen and Nathaniel Gittlen,
and their mother, Janet Greenhut;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter
and Laura Gittlen of Oaxaca, Mexico,
William and Sally Gittlen of California
and John Gittlen of Reno, Nev.
Interment at Arborcrest Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to
any charity promoting peace.

GOLDA J. HARTZ, 94, of Boca
Raton, Fla., died Sept. 30, 2006. She
was a charter member of Temple
Israel and had a passion for bridge,
canasta and idobiash.
Mrs. Hartz is survived by her
sons and daughters-in-law, Michael
and Ellen Hartz of Florida, Richard
and Bobbie Hartz of Florida; grand-
children, Alan and Vida, Linda and
Richie, Lori and Mark, Tammie,
Steven and Katie; great-grandchil-
dren, Jordan, Beau, Rachel, Julia,
Jeffrey, Amy, Justin, Jake, Chad; sister-
in-law, Irene Gelb. For over 50 years,
she was the beloved wife of the late
Murray Hartz; devoted sister of the
late Dr. Seymour Gelb and the late
Millye Title.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
