JERRY ALTSCHUL, 79, for-
mer Detroiter of Scottsdale, Ariz.,
died Aug. 2, 2006. He was born in
Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Altschul was
a veteran of the U.S. Army and
moved from Chicago to Detroit in
1956, where he worked in the auto
glass industry and was co-owner
of Michigan Mobile Glass & Trim.
In Scottsdale, he volunteered as a
Maricopa County hearing officer.
Mr. Altschul is survived by his
wife, Rivian; daughters, Laura
(Nancy) Altschul of Seattle, Jan
"Bubs" (Mike) Mnich of Northville,
Joanne Inglis of Livonia; son,
Sanford Marc (Julia) Altschul
of Farmington; grandchildren,
Jennifer, Jeffrey, David, Steven, Amy,
Lauren, Emily, Kevin and Mikey.
Memorial services will be held
Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m.
at Temple Shir Shalom in West
Bloomfield. Contributions may
be made to the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society, 21311 Civic
Center Dr., Southfield, MI 48076.

Farmington Hills, died Aug. 15,
2006.
He is survived by his sons and
daughters-in-law, Leslie Babich of
West Des Moines, Iowa, Drew and
Wendy Babich of Gaithersburg,
Md., Todd and Kim Babich of
Windsor Hts., Iowa; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Sam and Libby
Babich of Ohio, Sol and Rena
Babich of Florida; sisters, Dorothy
Kaye and Diane Wolf; grand-
children, Matthew, Ryan, Shadi,
Brieanna and Drake; dear com-
panion, Shirley Keller. He was the
beloved husband of the late Shirley
Babich.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.
