JERRY ALTSCHUL, 79, for- mer Detroiter of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Aug. 2, 2006. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Altschul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and moved from Chicago to Detroit in 1956, where he worked in the auto glass industry and was co-owner of Michigan Mobile Glass & Trim. In Scottsdale, he volunteered as a Maricopa County hearing officer. Mr. Altschul is survived by his wife, Rivian; daughters, Laura (Nancy) Altschul of Seattle, Jan "Bubs" (Mike) Mnich of Northville, Joanne Inglis of Livonia; son, Sanford Marc (Julia) Altschul of Farmington; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, David, Steven, Amy, Lauren, Emily, Kevin and Mikey. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. at Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield.
