tank company in Warren. In Israel
from 1934-1947, he was a sergeant
in the Jewish Brigade and then
helped purchase boats and sent
refugees from
Italy and
Belgium to
Palestine. He
was also a
member of the
Haganah. In
addition, he
was a member
of NOMADS
Peisner
and an avid
bridge player.
Mr. Peisner is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and
Cheryl Peisner of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay and
Seth Peisner; sister and brother-in-
law, Leah and Yosef Landmann of
Haifa, Israel; brother-in-law and sis-
ter-in-law, Robert and Elaine Spiro.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Shirley Peisner; devoted father
of the late Ronley Matthew Peisner;
loving brother of the late Balfour
Peisner.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to the Jewish National
Fund, 24100 Chagrin BlVd, Suite
#100, Cleveland, Ohio 44122.

MARTIN RASKIN, 82, of Oak
Park, died April 17, 2006. He was an
antique map dealer; his maps are
hanging in the new Kruse and Muer
Restaurant in Troy. A graduate of
Northern High School, Mr. Raskin
was a veteran of World War II and
was a past president of B'nai B'rith.
He is survived by his fian-
cee, Dorothy Kaplan Zeldes of
Farmington Hills; son, Robert
Raskin; daughter, Lisa Steele;
grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel.
He is also survived by the Kaplan,
Morrison, Gantz and Gunsberg
families.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be made
to a charity of one's choice.

SYLVIA ROBINS, 88, of
Farmington Hills, died April 23,
