ANNE HIRSHFIELD HORWITZ,
83, of West Bloomfield, died Feb. 7,
2006. She was a social worker in pri-
vate counseling. Prior to social work,
Mrs. Horwitz was a secretary for the
Oak Park Schools and also the
Durable Metal Company. She was
active with Hadassah, Sa'ad in Israael
and also Elder Hostels and AARP.
Mrs. Horwitz is survived by her
husband, Leonard Horwitrz of West
Bloomfield; children, Stuart and
Joanne Hirshfied of Deansboro,
N.Y., Arthur and Debra Hirshfield
of Novi, Don and Suzanne Horwitz
of Highland Park, Ill., Larry and
Lois Horwitz of Springfield, N.J.;
grandchildren, Adam Hirshfield,
Ben and Leanne Hirshfield, Shauna
Hirshfield, Alicia Hirshfield, Laura
Hirshfield, Lynne and Craig Persin,
Michelle Horwitz, Stephen and
Joanna Horwitz, Erica Horwitz. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Sanford Hirshfield; devoted grand-
mother of the late Joshua
Hirshfield; loving sister of the late
Eva Spitz, the late Lil Tucker and
the late Rose Averbach.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the American Cancer
Society, 18505 W. 12 Mile Road,
Southfield, MI 48076. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

ANITA LIPSON, 74, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 10, 2006.
She is survived by her beloved
husband, Joseph Lipson; son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Brian and
Sherry Lipson of San Carlos, Calif.;
