Hills Andover High boys basketball
team scored an exciting 51-50 win
over Birmingham Seaholm on a three-
point basket with a little more than a
minute to go. The victory gave the
Barons a 3-7 overall record and a 2-2
mark in Oakland Activities Association
Division IV.
Eli Weiner was one of five Berkley
players in double figures as the Bears
chewed up Hazel Park 91-49. Weiner tal-
lied 15 points.

700 Club
Two bowlers in the Brotherhood-Eddie
Jacobson B'nai B'rith League rolled their
first 700 series. Mark Rappaport of
Detroit had 217-278-225-720 on Jan.
16 and Dave Schanes of Wolverine Lake
had 236-213-267-716 on Jan. 23.
Gary Klinger of West Bloomfield
came within a pin of his second career
300 game Jan. 23, settling for a 299. His
751 series was the second highest of his
career.
Halfway through the season, the
league's average leaders were Bloomfield
Hills' Barry Fishman (216), Commerce
Township's Steve Anstandig (209),
Novi's Matt Rappaport (209), Klinger
