meaningful mitzvah project involved
working with children, every Sunday
at Temple Israel.

Julia Bleznak of Bloomfield Hills
became a bat mitzvah at Congreation
Shaarey Zedek Southfield Saturday,
Jan. 21. She is the daughter of proud
parents, Michele and Mitchell
Bleznak, and the loving sister of
Adam and
David. Julia's
grandparents are
Phyllis and
Richard Bleznak
and Gloria and
Walter White.
She is a stu-
dent at
Bleznak
Cranbrook
Kingswood
Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. Julia's most mean-
ingful mitzvah project has been vol-
unteering for the animal adoption
group Almost Home Animal Rescue
League for the past year.

Laib) will be called to the Torah on
Saturday, Feb. 4, at
Temple Emanu-
El. Extremely

Sandra Davis. Jeffrey is also the grand-
son of the late Edward Sorkin.
Jeffrey is a seventh-grade student at
Keller Middle School in Royal Oak. For
one mitzvah project, he helped repair
and fix up his bubbie's empty house.

Micah Joseph Keidan will be called
to the bimah as he celebrates his bar
mitzvah Saturday, Feb. 4, at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Betsy and
Richard Keidan and the brother of
Rachel. His proud grandmother is

Barbara Keidan.
Micah is a
student at West
Hills Middle
School in
Bloomfield Hills.
He collected and
then donated
video games to
Keidan
Beaumont's
Pediatric Cancer
Unit, which he felt was a meaningful
mitzvah project.

Daniel Alexander Nemer (Daniel
Avraham) of Bloomfield Hills will
celebrate his bar mitzvah Saturday,
Feb. 4, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek Southfield. He is the son of
Rosalind and
Larry Nemer
and the brother
of Drew. His
proud grandpar-
ents are Max and
Trude Lumelsky,
Ilene Nemer and
Milford and
Barbara Nemer.
Nemer
Danny is a
student at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. For one of his mitz-
vah projects, he worked at Bookstock.

Seth Brandon Peisner, son of Cheryl
and Jonathan Peisner and the brother
of Ryan and Lindsay, will read from
the Torah on the occasion of his bar
mitzvah Saturday, Feb. 4, at Temple
Israel. He is the
grandchild of
Betsy and Jerry
Rudin and Dan
Peisner. He is
also the grand-
child of the late
Shirley Peisner.
His proud great-
Peisner
grandmother is
Edna Barris. He
is also the great-grandchild of the
late Morton Barris and the late Sue
and Lewis Rudin.
Attending Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield, Seth felt it
was especially meaningful to donate
funds to the hurricane victims
through the Red Cross as one of his
mitzvah projects.
