AGNES KLEIN, 73, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 20,
2006. She was born in Humenne,
Czechoslovakia, and together
with her family survived the
Holocaust by hiding in the forest.
After the war, she moved to
Montreal, where she was reunited
with Bernie, who had been a
childhood friend in Humenne.
They married in 1954 and immi-
grated to Detroit in 1956.
At the time of her death, she
was part of the presidium of the
Deborah Group of Hadassah, a
board member of the Women's
Department of the Jewish
Federation of
Metropolitan
Detroit and was its
designate to
Federation's Board
usr of Governors. She
was also a board
member of the
Women's Division of State of
Israel Bonds. For many years,
Mrs. Klein was actively involved
on the Jewish Family Service
Board, was a member of
Congregation B'nai Moshe for 50
years and was an active support-
er of numerous other organiza-
tions.
Mrs. Klein is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie
and Stacy Klein of Bloomfield
Hills; daughter and son-in-law,
Susie and Howard Bruch of West
Caldwell, N.J.; grandchildren,
Katie Klein, Carly Klein, Jolie
Bruch, Zachary Bruch, Max
Bruch; sister and brother-in-law,
Judy and Stanley Cadloff of
Montreal; brother and sister-in-
law, Lou and Joan Gross of

NANCY BEA ADELMAN
KOLAR, of Farmington. Hills,
died Jan. 18, 2006. With over 40
years with Western Union, Mrs.
Kolar became a branch manager
before her retirement. She was
also a volunteer with Northwest
Child Rescue.
Mrs. Kolar is survived by
nieces and nephews, Judith
Hinckley, Roslyn and Matt Miller,
Steve and Lisa Kaplan, Howard
Kaplan, Michael Mercurio, Vince
and Gayle Mercurio; great-nieces
and great-nephews, Jennifer and
Don Bartell, Joanna Weisc, Erin
Kaplan, Stacey Kaplan, Vicki
Romanoff, Robyn Ciambro and
Caroline and Josh Stockman; life-
long friend, Hannah Foreman.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Max Kolar and the late Nash
Adelman; devoted sister of the
late Pauline Kaplan; the late
Dorothy Carduzucci and the late
Max Brecher.

RUTH SLOTNICK KRAEMER,
79, formerly of Mt. Clemens of
Pembroke Pines, Fla. She was
born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., then
moved to Atlantic City, N.J. She
graduated from high school in
Miami Beach and then from the
University of Pennsylvania. She
also received a degree from the
University of Northern Colorado
and she attended the University
of Miami.
She helped her husband and
his family run the Olympia Hotel
and Mineral Baths in Mt.
Clemens. Mrs. Kraemer taught
elementary school in North
Beach and in 1981 was named
teacher of the year.
Mrs. Kraemer is survived by
her loving husband, Sidney; sis-
ter, Sylvia Clark; sister-in-law,
Helene Schley; caregiver/nephew,
Herb Klein. She was the daughter
of the late Sam and Blanche
Slotnick.
Services at Mt. Sinai Cemetery.

ERWIN LAKRITZ, 74, of
Farmington Hills, died Jan. 15,
2006. He was in the Navy and
received an honorable discharge.
He had attended Central High
School in Detroit
Mr. Lakritz is survived by his

and Carol Lakrit2 of Bloomfield
Hills; nieces, Elyse (Louis) Kroon
II and Jennifer (Alexander)
Hirsch; great-nieces, Samantha,

He was the dear son of the late
