DONALD R. SOLTZ, 70, of Livonia
died Jan. 16, 2006.
He served his country in Korea as a
soldier and a chef at the officers club.
He was a member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Mr. Soltz
was a member of
B'nai B'rith and had
been an adviser for
the B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization.
Mr. Soltz was a
meat-cutter for 50
years; he and his
Soltz
wife, Phyllis, have co-
owned Soltz's Quality
Meats in Wyandotte since 1978. He
was recognized many times for his
supportive contributions to the com-
munity and received the Citizenship
Award in Wyandotte. He sponsored
many sports teams and PTO Field
Days.
Mr. Soltz is survived by his beloved
wife of 45 years, Phyllis; son and
daughter-in-law Mark and Michelle
Soltz of Commerce; daughter and son-
in-law, Deborah and Jeffrey Cymerint
of Livonia; grandchildren, Lauren and
Madelyne Soltz, Jacob and Katelyn
Cymerint; sister, Delores Shpargel of
Nevada; sister-in-law, Elaine
Heavenrich of Jerusalem.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
