The seventh annual World Sabbath of
Religious Reconciliation, an interfaith
holy day, will be celebrated at Christ
Church Cranbrook Saturday, Jan. 28, at
6:30 p.m.
"Breaking down barriers and pur-
suing peace" will serve as the theme
for this year's event. The World
Sabbath invites members of all faith
communities to participate in cele-
brating the diversity and unity of their
faiths.
This interfaith service will feature
speakers, leaders, and musicians.
Children from metro religious
schools, including Congregation Beth
Shalom, will participate.
The event is free and open to the

Temple Beth El Sisterhood will host a
health and fitness day for women on
Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Registration at 9:15 a.m. will be fol-
lowed by a series of exercise and nutri-
tion segments, beginning with a
"Healthy Backs Yoga" session led by Gail
Mondry, registered yoga therapist.
The 45-minute segment will be fol-
lowed by "Exercise with Marni Stone',' a
senior fitness specialist. The morning
will conclude with "Healthy Eating Tips"
from Gail Posner, registered dietician
and owner of Healthy Ways Nutrition
Counseling.
Participants will then enjoy a health-
ful noon lunch buffet.
Participants should dress comfortably
and bring yoga mats or beach towels for
the yoga session. Both the yoga and
exercise portions of the morning are
geared to all levels.
Cost of the event is $20 for sisterhood
members and $25 for guests. To register,
