Testimonial: "Royal Catering presented us with an assortment of mouth-
!
watering menu select-ions to choose from. Close attention was paid to every
detail involved with home catering and our specific needs (for a kosher
family and friends' pre-wedding party).
Jeff and the Royal Catering staff were professional and stress free to work
with. We were so pleased with the success of our party - we hired him to do
one two weeks later."

as well as movie theaters,
since typically 40 percent of a
film's revenue is generated Friday
evenings and Saturdays.
"I wasn't concerned about the
restrictions:' Dar says. "I was
intrigued by them. If I were
doing a movie with a man-eating
tribe in the jungle, I wouldn't
impose my rules on them. I'd
say, let's do the movie about
them and with them' Why not do
the same thing in Israel?
"I don't mind not working on
Shabbat. I don't mind eating
kosher food, and I don't mind
that this movie doesn't have sex
in it. One thing was that I
demanded control of the movie. I
didn't want this to become a mis-
sionary movie."
Filming was relatively easy,
especially once the Breslover
rebbe approved.
"When the script was ready,
Shuli asked me to meet his rabbi,
to get his approval. He was a
charming person, the sweetest
person. Actually, the rabbi in the
film is based on him. He loved
the script and thought it was
important that we do the film.
"He felt the polarity between
the Chasidic and secular people
was terrible, and that a film that
will make you identify with [the
Chasidim] for an hour and a half
was very helpful."
For Dar, the film was a life-
affirming experience that provid-
ed him with a greater under-
standing of the fervently
Orthodox. "But it in no way made
me more religious. The only
thing that did happen was that I
kind of learned about putting
things aside on Shabbat and
enjoying my kids and wife.
"Today, it's very hard to make
me work on Shabbat. When you
shoot a movie, usually you're hys-
terical all the time. Now we say,
`No way on Shabbat.' This is
something that happened." 11,1
