Bar/Bat Mitzvah Notices
In an attempt to keep the notices that mark youth on their path
to maturity meaningful yet brief, we have decided to change the
items to include.
We have eliminated the reference to the school "honor" rank-
ing because it differs from school to school. Since mitzvah proj-
ects have increased, we ask that only one be selected to be repre-
sentative of tzedakah.
Thank you for your adherence to these changes.
Alyssa Adler will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday,
Nov. 12, at Congregation Beth

Alyssa attends Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. She has been
involved in many tzedekah proj-
ects, including donating her cen-
terpieces to the music depart-
ment at the Detroit public
schools.
Mild Bassey will celebrate her
bat mitzvah as she reads from
the Torah, Friday, Nov. 11, at
Temple Israel.

Israel Guide Dog Center for the
Blind as one of her mitzvah proj-
ects.

Emanu-El. He

Cross, the late Marie and Alfred
Ericksen.
Daniel is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Norup Middle School in

carnival at Temple Emanu-El.
