Robert Cohen has been named the
executive director of the Jewish
Community Council of
Metropolitan Detroit. He will begin
his tenure in mid-November.
Cohen joins the council after
serving as assistant director and
director for community relations
of the Jewish
Federation in Tulsa,
where his responsibili-
ties included Israel
advocacy, interfaith
and interethnic rela-
tions, minority rights,
Cohen
media relations and
Holocaust education.
Cohen also worked as an inter-
national public relations consult-
ant for the New York firm Hill and
Knowlton.
Active in the mental health
movement, Cohen is the former
vice chair of the National Mental
Health Association. He served on
the board of directors and co-
chaired the public affairs commit-
tee of the Mental Health
Association in Tulsa. •

Dr. Sherwin Nuland will headline

Shalom Synagogue

is the author of many
articles .and books,

Nuland will present a discussion

Saturday morning he will speak in

luncheon, there will be a question
and answer period.

Maimonides will be given to adults
