I Metro DIGEST Heading JCCouncil RST CALL Robert Cohen has been named the executive director of the Jewish Community Council of Metropolitan Detroit. He will begin his tenure in mid-November. Cohen joins the council after serving as assistant director and director for community relations of the Jewish Federation in Tulsa, where his responsibili- ties included Israel advocacy, interfaith and interethnic rela- tions, minority rights, Cohen media relations and Holocaust education. Cohen also worked as an inter- national public relations consult- ant for the New York firm Hill and Knowlton. Active in the mental health movement, Cohen is the former vice chair of the National Mental Health Association.
