LEO BECKER, 83, former
Detroiter of Corte Madera, Calif.,
died Sept. 16, 2005. He was a
World War II veteran. Mr. Becker
graduated from Wayne State
University with a pharmacy
degree and held pharmacy
licenses in both Michigan and
California; he practiced in both
states also. He was also a regis-
tered stockbroker and the origi-
nal owner of Healthland
Nutrition Center in Navato,
Calif. He was a founding mem-
ber of the Soviet Jewry
Movement.
Mr. Becker is survived by his
wife, Barbara; son, Laurence
Becker of Mountain View, Calif.;
daughter, Sarah l'ecker of
Laguna Hills, Calif.; brother and
sister-in-law, Raymond and
Barbara Becker of Farmington
Hills; loving nieces, nephews,
cousins.
MARIA BERMAN, 93, of
Brighton, died Sept. 28, 2005.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Sam Geller and
Kathleen Vielhaber of Brighton;
granddaughter, Naomi Geller. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Mike Geller, the late Aria
Berman.

the Delta Phi
Epsilon
SOrority at Ohio State University.
In addition, Mrs. Boyer was a
member of the Thespian Society.
A life member of Hadassah
and American Jewish Congress,
Mrs: Boyer had been active with
Women's American ORT, the
American Cancer Society and
the Jewish Community Council.
She was also a docent and mem-
ber of Meadow Brook Hall Guild
for over 25 years, a former mem-
ber of the Detroit Institute of
Arts Founders Society, Avon
Players, and the American
Contract Bridge League.
She is survived by her beloved
husband of 58 years, Richard
Boyer; son and daughter-in-law,
David and Cathey Boyer of West
Bloomfield; daughter and son-
in-law, Lauren and Harry
Neuman of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Eli Boyer, Marissa
Neuman, Carli Boyer and Avery
Neuman; sister, Jodie Hollander
of Highland Park, Ill.
