GENNADIY FISHER, 65, of Novi,
died Sept. 13, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Irina
Fisher; daughter and son-in-law,
Tatyania and Max Tsvetovat of
Arlington, Va.

MAX FRIDMAN, 88, of Fern Park,
Fla., formerly of Southfield, died Sept.
12, 2005. He was born in David-
Gorodok, Poland, and survived the
Holocaust.
After the war, he lived in Cuba
before immigrating to the United
States and moving to Detroit. He was
a special agent for Prudential
Insurance in addition to owning his
own agency. He was active in B'nai
B'rith during his years in Detroit.
Mr. Fridman
spoke seven lan-
guages fluently.
Upon retiring
and moving to
Florida, he con-
tinued to be very
involved in
Jewish causes —
assisting Russian
immigrants into
Fridman
resettlement,
serving on the
board of the
Holocaust
Memorial
Resource and
Education Center
and, most signifi-
cantly, founding
and serving as
president of the
Orlando ARMDI
chapter for over 20 years. Under Mr.
Fridman's direction, the Central
Florida American Red Magen David
Adom Chapter raised millions of dol-
lars for Israel's emergency medical/dis-
aster/ambulance/blood network.
Mr. Fridman is survived by his wife,
Rella Fridman; daughters and sons-in-
law, Marilyn and Peter Jacobson of
West Bloomfield, Beth and Seth
Ratner of Palm Harbor, Fla; grandchil-
dren, Jessica Hoffman, Lindsey
Hoffman, Evan Ratner, Jacob Ratner.

LENA GROSS, 81, of Oak Park, died

She is survived by her husband,

RONALD JOSEPH, 70, an electrical
contractor of Davie, Fla., formerly of
Southfield, died Sept. 12, 2005, after a
courageous seven-year battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry;
sons and daughter-in-law, Zack of
Florida, Mitchell and Hadassah of
Florida; daughters and son-in-law,
Kelley of Florida, Terrie and Dr. Barry
Rosenthal of Florida; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Carol and Sidney Lifson of
Beverly Hills; 11 grandchildren. -
He was predeceased by his first wife,
the late Elaine Mark Joseph; and par-
ents, the late Dr. Milton and the late
Evelyn Joseph.
Services were in Florida. Arrange-
ments by Menorah Gardens and
Funeral Chapels of Florida.
BERTHA LEVEN, 96, of Huntington
Woods, died Sept. 18, 2005. She was
a teacher for the Detroit Public
Schools.
Mrs. Leven is survived by a son,
Thomas Leven
of Farmington
Hills; daughter,
Cynthia Leven
of Huntington
Woods; grand-
son, Ian Feig.
