LUBA ASNER, 89, died Sept. 12,
2005. A Windsor resident since 1948,
Mrs. Asner was a longtime member of
Congregation Shaar Hashomayim and
a member of Na'amat Canada. A sur-
vivor of the Holocaust, she lost two
brothers and two sisters in the death
camps.
She is survived
by her loving hus-
band of 61 years,
Abram; daughters,
Cheryl Gold of
Windsor, Barbara
(Jody) Weiner of
West Bloomfield;
Grandchildren,
Michelle, Jennifer
(David), Jaimee,
Jordan. She was the mother-in-law of
the late Allan Gold.
Services were held at Rachel Kaplan
Hebrew Memorial Chapel. Interment
at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the Gevorah Society of the
Jewish Partisan Educational founda-
tion or to a charity of one's choice.

MAURICE CASCADE, 89, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Sept. 6, 2005.
He is survived by his beloved wife,

and Kimberly Thorns of West
Bloomfield, Carol (Curtis) Gimlin of
Tulsa, Okla., Marti and Hermann
Bloch of Kalamazoo, Debra and Gene
Cipley of Northville; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Samuel and Jean Cascade of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Elisa
(Steven) Pilloff, Michelle (Erik)
Bomar, Joshua (Rebecca) Cascade,
Randy Thorns, Ashley Thorns, Daniel
Gimlin, Matthew Gimlin, Lisa
Ingrahm, and Julie (Richard) Lemus;
great-grandchildren, Max, Alex,
Spencer and Kyler; sister-in-law, Ann
Taylor; daughter-in-law, Barbara
(Michael) Byer. He was the beloved
husband of the late Florence Cascade;
brother of the late Mollie Miller.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
